Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), one of just two other supporters of Greene’s vacate motion, said he spoke with Greene about the resolution over the break. But he’s also keeping his cards close to the vest, declining to disclose any details about when — or even if — the motion will come to the floor. Designed by owner and filmmaker Chris Hanley, with Gehry collaborator Tomas Osinski, in a roundabout way it exists thanks to Andy Warhol. Before he was producing films like Buffalo ’66, Spring Breakers, The Virgin Suicides and American Psycho (famous narcissist Patrick Bateman would have a field day with those reflective surfaces), Hanley and his wife Roberta were fixtures in the New York arts scene. Hanley’s Intergalactic Studios was frequented by artists including The Ramones and Afrika Bambaataa (“Planet Rock,” recorded at Intergalactic, pioneered digital sampling and paved the way for hip hop and electro rock). "You're buying a work of art — something that can't be found in any other place on Earth." Sharing a border with the Joshua Tree National Park, Invisible House is superbly nestled at the foot of a hill, amongst 90 private acres of impossibly scenic Californian High Desert land. Finding real-estate comps for such unique architecture located in a remote desert town with a population of just thousands, is impossible, according to Kirman.

Designer Tomas Osinsk and Los Angeles film producer Chris Hanley have created a mirrored house near Joshua Tree National Park, designed to look like a New York skyscraper on its side. Originally the pool was outside on a platform, and the rectangle cantilevered over the rocks, but then I decided a pure monolith would be much cooler,’ describes Chris of designing the three-bedroom, four-bathroom Invisible House in 2010. Having since worked on 15 buildings (and counting), Chris’s first structure built from scratch came in 1997 when he designed a hilltop village called Honeymoon House on Lamu, an island on the Kenyan coast.
The bedrooms all have sliding doors that open to sweeping views of the desert. The showpiece of the primary suite is a custom-designed, glass bed frame that gives the mattress a floating appearance. Known as the Invisible House, the 5,470-square-foot stunner sits on a massive 67.5-acre lot, surrounded by a natural landscape.
He also has plans to build another house from splayed shipping containers in nearby Joshua Tree National Park. As for the decision to list the Invisible House on the market, ‘It’s like when you create a movie — you can’t live in your own art,’ says Chris. The jack-of-all-trades has dreamt up several new projects, including the Starburst House, a collaboration with UK architect James Whitaker. On the other side of the mountain range in Joshua Tree, the home is composed of 21 cargo-container-like prisms in a sputnik shape. The officer has been transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Police arrested 15 people Friday, including city councilman Braxton Winston for failing to disperse. He told Channel 9 he was originally at the demonstration with his kids. During Friday night’s protests, three CMPD officers were hurt and one of their stations along with several of their vehicles were damaged.
